Nice work! I liked the variety of battle music and they were all good. This is a very ambitious game and a lot of it works out well! There were some bugs like the character overlapping with the background tiles. I found a lot of the transitions to be really abrupt too. It is difficult to progress and when your madam dies you don't automatically switch to the next one The world you created is very fun to explore! Keep it up!

I will also add that so much work has been done in a short time, great job.

This game needs is a bit of polish, and it could be a pretty ok game. But now, it's fine for what it is. I do question why the player character looks like Piccolo, but other than that I only have one really major complaint. No Ditto :(

Oh yeah, also the game lagged for me, just thought I should mention that.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I never tested on other specs, that is something I'm going to totally look into. I know some of my logic needs to be optimized and refactored for sure.

Ambitious project, with a lot of content in just 2 weeks.

Impressive amount of content for the short time period! It's a pretty solid pokemon-style game and the twist on it is pretty funny. The graphics looked a bit blurry which was a shame because it looked like a lot of effort had gone into it. I've never used GDevelop before but it seems like it might be blurry it during rendering. If there is an option to make it more pixel perfect that would probably help quite a bit. I also encountered a minor bug where the first npc I talked to caused the dialogue box to stay on the screen permanently until I spoke with a different npc. That was pretty minor though and overall very solid entry!

Thanks for the feedback! I should have those pesky bugs squashed in version 0.2 that I'm tinkering on. Stay tuned! You were right GDevelop had texture smoothing on by default which created all those texture seams.

Cool game! Surprised you were able to do this much in such a short amount of time, great job!

It seems like a simple game, there’s a little green man walking around, what’s wrong with that. But I see under the hood, a lot of work has been done: loading maps, animation, transitions between locations through doors, mini-game battle, quest system, many UI windows (settings, inventory, etc.)... Good job. I liked the solution to transitions between scenes - animation of black circles

Hi!

I would like more explanations of what is going on, all I managed to do was win twice, and then I just ran away from the match, because I was rank C :). Hit-areas also amused :D. Congratulations!

This game is cool but really you can make some tutorial or guide especially on levelling up your pokemon

making a pokemon game is a tall order for 2 weeks, the art may be a bit blurry and i dont like the ai generated pokemon but otherwise, enjoyable ig!

Developer(+1)

I did get the blur fixed in the future update. Turns out Gdevelop turns on texture smoothing by default and I did not catch it until after the jam. Sorry to hear you did not like the AI generated stuff. I've been having a lot of creative freedom  and fun developing with AI art lately, but I know it is a real turn off for some people.

I really enjoyed playing this game, I didnt realize the art was Ai. great job. Im a big pokemon fan so this was cool to see someone do.

Cool RPG. I think overscoping is the perfect way to test an idea and see if has potential beyond the jam. I love the scale (being guilty myself). The music and graphic style is coherrent.Everything works well together. Will defintely check this out in the future to see where it goes.

uh, a pokemon-like. nice game! And a huge project for such a short jam.

Good music/sfx, the graphics could use some work (there are some thin lines flashing here and there)

I'm impressed with how much you did in the short amount of time. I can tell with this that you've tinkered with Gdevelop a lot already. Looks like you've tinkered with tools like Twine that even I haven't messed with yet

looking forward to play 0.2

Make a "pokéclone" in two weeks it's a challenge itself in my opinion. You need a medal. The game need to be polished after the jam beacause has potential. Nice creature design tho!

Developer(+1)

I really wanted to challenge myself with this one. I asked myself, "Did I overscope?" like a dozen times this jam. Stay tune for version 0.2 after the jam voting time is over.
