I like the concept and the graphics. The map felt a bit big and empty. Prob. adding some more environment stuff or making the map smaller would have been nice.

Developer

thanks. That’s the consensus so far. I’ll definitely shrink the map down.

The concept is cool, I would really love to see a top-down slender-like game like this! Being able to enter buildings was a nice surprise too!

On the other hand, the map felt quite big for no reason because there was nothing to see for approximately a minute. The flashlight/batteries mechanic was nice but, as people in the comments were saying, it misses some kind of visual clues to let the player know the power state of the flashlight. For me, it suddendly went off and it was just pitch black. I had to spam the turn on button to create a rave-like lighting and continue exploring haha.

Overall, nice experience, I enjoyed it and I can see a more polished version with a good potential!

Congrats! :)

The graphics and audio/music are great. In my opinion when you lose the flashlight it kinda leaves you wandering making it impossible to continue the game. I do believe that is necessary to put a map or a guide.

Maybe a cool idea is to add that the light dimmers as you lose batteries to it, in that way it indicates how much power you have left, instead of just blackout.

Developer

thanks. It probably isn’t clear, but the flashlight become “unreliable” at low percentage. It flickers in and out.  It does eventually burn out completely.

I like the idea, however...

The map seemed very large and there was no indication of how much power I had left in my flashlight, so I felt like I didn't have enough information to decide how much to use the flashlight or where I should go to look for the keys.

Movement felt nice. Audio was great! I liked the little lightning flashes.

Developer

Thanks!  I couldn’t decide if you should be able to see the remaining battery.  Perhaps, I’ll turn it on for easy and medium.

I think I agree about the map size.  I appreciate the feedback!
