The mate is basically just a collectible that you pick up on collision, so then from there you backtrack to find the first cave you can fit in

The caverns are the end goal after you've found your mate, and they range in size from small to large to match your dino based on their diet (the small cave at the end can't be entered if you've eaten too much meat so you have to backtrack even further).

Yeah the health/hunger bar was just a quick and dirty solution, the script that sets the value stops running on death which is why the bar can be interacted with.

We meant to have more custom art but of our three artists only one actually found time to finish anything (just the volcano), so we had to ship with the placeholder assets.

I planned on having a slightly better tutorial but I injured my hand the other day which made it painful to work on the project for the last two days, so I just typed out a wall of text :(

Thanks for the feedback!

Yes unfortunately we don't have the ability to make this work for Macs :(

We'd like to, but unfortunately we currently don't have easy access to a Mac that supports our version of UE4 (our game engine). Hopefully in the future!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You can have it now (for $3.00)!!!! :D:D:D

Thanks, we can't wait to release it, either!

After conducting our market research, we noticed a distinct lack of games  featuring giant feet as major characters as well games emphasizing the importance of hygiene. This is the #content that many different demographics wish they had access to but simply don't. We're excited to meet consumer demands and "make the world a better place, one product at a time."

Thanks for talking about your process. Thanks for all the work you do!

Sorry it took so dang long to get a response to your question, we've been super busy working on the full version of the game. Movement is the WASD keys (W/S are forward/backward, and A/D are left/right)

Below the description there's a big "Download Now" button. When you click that, a window will pop up where you can (if you so choose) toss us a small donation. Donations are 100% optional, and you can download the game for free by clicking the circled text here:

That will take you to the download page itself, from there click the red download button next to "Ashi Wash 0.5 Windows (LATEST)" if you want to play the most recent build that we uploaded back in August of 2016, or the button next to "Ashi Wash Prototype Windows (OLD)" if you want to play the older, uglier version that Markiplier played.

Rainbow Entertainment: Which build did you play?

Thanks for the feedback! Without saying too much we've actually discussed some sort of randomness in the gameplay, and we're currently working on a build for an event in which we'd like to at least have random tool placements, but we've got limited time to work on the new build and we'd have to completely redesign some stuff around that.

That said, we are absolutely planning on expanding it more in the future, with replay value in mind! ~Matt

Sorry for the seriously late response, I sent the music guy a message about putting 'em it up for download somewhere. I'll post a link in the game's description to both the download and his soundcloud when he gets back to me. :) ~Matt

Yep, just click "Download Now" and then "No thanks, just take me to the downloads"

This game is only for Windows-based PCs, and even then we can only confirm that it works on Windows 7, 8/8.1, and 10.

To download the game for free, click "Download Now" and then the page will ask if you would like to pay for the game - simply click "No thanks, just take me to the downloads" and you can download it from there.

This game is 100% free, but there is an option to pay us if you feel like giving us money. To download the game for free click "Download Now" and then "No thanks, just take me to the downloads".

When you click the "Download Now" button, it will give you the option to either just download the game for free by clicking "No thanks, just take me to the downloads" OR pay us however much you feel like paying us for the game, if you feel like giving us money.

The "free" option isn't immediately noticeable (I've circled it here to make it a bit easier to see), but I'm not sure if we can change that.

We're gonna try to have that soonishly.

Awesome, glad you were able to work it out!

That's strange... I know this is a silly question, but is the game possibly muted in Windows? If not that (and this probably isn't it either if you can play other Unreal engine games with sound), are your audio drivers up to date?

Unfortunately I don't think there's a whole lot I can do on the development end, because this is the first time I've worked with Unreal so I'm not exactly sure where to start looking, but I'll see if I can figure out a solution just in case other people are having the same issue.

Sorry about that, I forgot that 7zip isn't the standard! I've updated the download instructions with a link to download 7zip so hopefully nobody else has the same problem in the future :)

Which version did you download?
