The sudden red flash in the intro absolutely DESTROYED my eyes! It should be toned down, and it's an absolute must for this game to have a flashing lights warning.

As for the actual game - it's a fun shoot-em-up! The mechanics are on point, and fighting enemies is fun. The sound effects and music are also cool, and have that nice sci-fi-ish computer-ish flair to them.

The theme implementation is actually very creative. It's kind of surprising that in the community full of programmers there isn't all that many games about the 'void' programming terminology. A great idea!

Overall, good job!

It's a very beautiful and unique idea.

One thing that was kind of confusing is the fact that pictures are not related to the memories' descriptions at all. Maybe I misunderstood something?

But honestly, this game got me thinking that... By watching someone play this, you can probably tell what kind of person they are. I wonder how that would work.

I love the mood, the sound design, and the main concept. It's a very beautiful and touching game. I hope that when I die I will also get a recap like this...

Thank you for your comment. It's the greatest compliment to me that this little piece of art I made resonated with someone on an emotional level. Hope you're doing well.

Thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful comment. I am incredibly grateful! Glad you enjoyed it.

Hey! Thank you very much for your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the game.

As for why I use Godot 3 - it's because I code in C#, and Godot 4 can't build web games that use C#. There are also a lot of other issues regarding C# in GD4, such as inability to export C# collections, and etc.

So far, my experience with Godot 4 was underwhelming for me - I also thought it was too unstable :(

Nice! I managed to get to the score of 8000.

It's fun to play and fun to try to beat your highscore. The visuals and the music are also cool.

I would suggest adding some randomness in the way obstacles spawn, because right now they all appear at a fixed rate, meaning that the game is kind of the same each time you play, and you end up relying on muscle memory more than on your reaction speed.

But overall, a nice entry!

Great fun, reminds me of CoD Zombies. I played through the entire thing - it's very satisfying to mow down hordes of enemies.

This is a VERY unique concept. Like, artistically, this idea is absolutely fantastic.

The game's intro reminded me of Portal 2 intro sequence - and it was awesome.

I loved the gameplay - it was tense, but forgiving with the amount of health you had.

The music was absolutely great - I really loved the tune that played during gameplay, it was very catchy, and the theme in the intro set up the mood perfectly.

Nice job!!!

This was beautiful.

I absolutely loved the inner monologue of the character - it was raw and authentic. And the interpretation of the theme is really good and thought-provoking. And the message of the game, too.

The game really needs some more polish with the mechanics, but man, it makes you feel something, it makes you think.

A fun endless scroller. I liked the timed-dash mechanic. And it has an online leaderboard, which is amazing!

But, FYI, the game can be cheesed by just going diagonally left - the hazards will never hit you :(

Love the audio and visuals!

This game made me realize how bad I actually am at rhythm games.

I believe you need to press X

The concept of the gameplay is very fun., and with polish could be something absolutely great.

Good job!

Also, kudos to you for adding gamepad support!

This is a good puzzle game - the levels are well designed, and the mechanics have fun interactions. I also enjoyed the sound design - especially the ambience. It was very soothing. Well done!

This is good stuff - the combat mechanics are tough, but also extremely satisfying when you finally get the hang of them.  Comboing enemies is extremely fun!!!

Gameplay-wise, this is, like, Devil Daggers levels of quality in combat design.

One suggestion: I think it would be good if there was a couple of frames of some sort of 'grace period' after the dash has ended, during the transition from dash to neutral state, when you are still invulnerable and can kill enemies, so you wouldn't have to be as precise in managing your dash meter as you currently need to be.

Overall, great job!

Nice little short game - I completed it four times.

Both levels are fun to play, and the mechanics present, while not original - are fun!

Honestly, it would be great if the boss had health - like, it would be cool if you had to hit its head 3-4 times before it dies. Because right now - while the game is fun to play, it's really short :(

But overall, this was a nice experience, and I enjoyed my time with it enough to replay it a couple of times. There is a nice element of mastery - I could see that I'm getting better at traversing the level and beating the boss.

Although, I had some weird issue with the sprint button randomly not working. Not sure how that works

Overall, good job!

This was beautiful, I love it.

The gameplay is engaging, and although some kind of tutorial would be great - the mechanics are intuitive and well-designed enough for you to be able to figure out how the game works just by trial and error. There is a great layer of optimization in the game - I assume there is a perfect winning strategy to it, but I couldn't figure it out, with my best score being around 1800.

The visuals are wonderful - the flowers and the character's portraits look beautiful, the UI is pretty, and I love the little touches - like the picture of a dog in the room (I assume this is the friend that Emma has lost - her dog). And I love how the entire room brightens up when you win - this is very sweet.

I absolutely love the music in the game - it's very beautiful, and sets the mood perfectly.

At first I thought that the arcade-ish fast-paced nature of the game is kind of counterproductive to it's cozy vibes and gloomy narrative. I though that it was... Kind of sending the wrong message, with the girl replaying through her loss again and again. But then I thought that there is actually beauty to it. Grief is a thing that you can desperately try to escape, time and time again, but it will never completely go away. It will hit you again, it will come back - and the only thing you can do is to find better ways to cope with it - which is represented in the game by you getting better at making your own, beautiful garden full of vibrant flowers. I don't know if it was an intended message, but this is what I thought, and it's honestly - beautiful.

Well done!!!

This was a fun one!

First of all - I love the interpretation of the theme. It's very original to use a legal term such as 'void contract' for this!

It's clearly inspired by Paper's Please, but it has it's own fun personality. The writing is witty, and the sprinkles of humor in the game are hilarious.

The game has a great learning curve to it - my first run was a complete blunder - I failed EVERY SINGLE CONTRACT, while trying to figure out how to play the game. And my second one I perfected the game - it's AWESOME that the game actually requires paying attention and learning to be able to complete it.

The UI is fun to use and generally responsive, except for some minor nitpicks, like the book being hard to move around.  Also, there is the page in the book with the label 'void' in it - it threw me off. I thought all the demons that were in that page MUST be voided, but it ended up being just an aesthetic choice.

The artstyle - character portraits are great, and I love the little animations in the UI, like the mouse cursor for example.

I love the music - it's really fun, the main menu theme is very groovy.

The game unfortunately froze for me on Friday - there was a black screen, music was playing, and nothing happened afterwards.

"A Field Of Sunflowers" is a heartfelt story about the loss of a loved one, and the void they leave behind when they are gone. Azalea and Gabriel move into their new house in the countryside - wanting to get away from the suffocating city life. Azalea's wish is to plant a field of sunflowers - which, to her, symbolize hope and joy of their new beginning, since sunflowers are always looking towards the bright.

All is well, until the monsoon season hits them with heavy rains.

The game explores themes of loss, grief, and, eventually, hope.

This game was made in one week for Godot Wild Jam: Void.

This was fun to play! I loved the progression with different upgrades, and watching enemies slowly wither away was very satisfying. The music is an absolute jam, very funky. However, I didn't really like the boss, I think it was too hard to dodge him and sometimes he managed to hit me multiple times in one attack. Overall, I think it's a great game that can become something very very fun and addicting with some polish.

This is a very cool concept! I think the game needs a more clear indication of whether you doing it right or not, and maybe some kind of tutorial? At the same time, maybe part of the charm of this type of game is trying to figure out how it works. Overall, it was a neat game.

Would be great to get some feedback!

That was a neat concept. Wish you had more time, because that idea is really, really cool in my opinion. Currently, the game is fun while you're trying to figure out how to play, but then becomes very easy. Also, the enemy spy sometimes poisons themself, which is funny. Overall, nice work! Impressive for a game made in 4 hours.

It was neat. I liked the concept of those vision cones that force the player to be stealthy. I think it would be even more fun if enemies were actively patrolling the level. What I also enjoyed is the graphics. I love how you made those little faces on the cells, it really added a lot of personality to the game. One thing I did not like is the game over screen and win screen texts with those meme phrases. Maybe it's just me, but it felt a bit, I don't know, unprofessional? I'm not sure, it just felt weird to me. Other than that it was a nice game. Would be cool to see those mechanics shine with more gameplay elements and enemy variety. Good job!

Cool little game. The gameplay is nothing innovative, but it was well done and had some nice pixel art. But that music though! I don't know if it was written specifically for this game or is it royalty free, but the music in this game is awesome. Well done!

It is a very fun idea. Maybe some sort of indication as to where the bubble will go would be nice? Overall, great work!

The wall jumping controls were very hard, so I did not manage to get past that. But the game looks interesting, and I like the animations on the main character.

This was fun, but I think this game would benefit from some sort of fail state. Like if you get hit by bullets or fail to clean before the timer runs out or something like that, because right now it essentially plays like a clicker game. The visuals and sounds are fun and satisfying. Overall it was a nice entry!

I liked the concept and the story. As for gameplay, I wish the vision cone was bigger, it was very hard to fight without actually being able to see the enemy. And it was also hard to figure out the range of my attacks.

I loved the gameplay, it had this nice strategic puzzle element to it that I very much enjoyed. I also was surprised by how many levels there actually is. Two complaints is that I think the hitboxes on the goop should be a bit more forgiving, and that I think that the splatters should not be randomized, because the randomness of the splatter makes restarting the same level a tad frustrating. For example, Level 13 - a lot of times I died just as I spawned, and I just had to keep restarting hoping that the random splatter do not hit me and I could actually play the level. But overall, this was a very nice game with a very cool and unique concept. Good job!

This is one of the best games I played this jam! I loved the art and the funny dialogue. The gameplay was rather unique and fun. My only complaint is that I experienced some weird hitboxes with projectiles, where the bullet clearly did not hit me, but I still died. Overall, amazing work!

It was very hard to figure out how different dimensions worked, and I ended up not finishing the game. Some clear indication on how the dimension changing works would be really useful!

This was nice, but I think what this game needs is more variety. Like, for example you could make that some people run away from you and you have to chase them down, while others try to attack you. Really, you can have infinite ideas for this! Overall, this was a fun little game. Good job!

This was a neat entry. My two complaints is that I think the Enter is a weird choice of a key for a dash, and that I got stuck in a bottle and had to restart the game. Maybe I missed something, but I did not manage to figure out what was I supposed to do. Other than that, it was a nice game. I loved the visuals, the pixel art was pretty and the glow effect was cool. Good job!

It was quite fun, but I didn't like the controls. I'm not sure if this is intentional, but you can only hold one direction at a time. So, for example, if I'm walking up, and start holding right, then nothing will happen. This makes the controls feel really unresponsive. Other than that, it was a nice entry. Good job!

This was a fun little game! I liked the difficulty, and the fact that you actually need to learn the level layout to beat it.

This was neat. I think the idea of playing as a gas cloud is very cool, and has a lot of potential if you decide to work on it further! My main complaint is that I think the level layout was confusing, and I got lost very quickly. Some sort of map would be great. You could even nicely tie it into the environment - it would make sense if there were monitors or holograms with maps in some rooms.

Pushing people around is fun!

I loved the artstyle (that skeleton is vibing! very, very fun animation) and the castlevania-ish movement mechanic. The combat felt a bit confusing at first, but overall, it was a nice entry!
