How does your submission match the theme?
In Hoover, the player has only one tool at their disposal: a vacuum cleaner. With this item, you can draw objects near, collect upgrades, and suck in enemies. By expelling the air you've drawn in, you can propel yourself around the stage, deflect projectiles, move platforms, and more. Because every aspect of the player's interaction with their environment is achieved with this one tool (the entire game requires only the left and right mouse buttons), Hoover fits the theme of Dual Design perfectly.

Challenging, fun game! I included it in my Game Maker Toolkit’s Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Starts a bit too difficult but still fun. Starting with fewer obstacles at the beginning and the water going up slower would be good. Uses dual purpose design well and the music and art match. Fun for as far as I could get! (When enemies started appearing haha)

Good visual and music and fun to play but very difficult.  I think you can add a little more time at the beginning of the game. Also, I think there is a bug because  sometime died on a near the second mill platform without reason. But good game !

Whew, this is a tough game! Managed to make it to the first checkpoint but struggled to get through the following spiky tunnel. Got the air upgrade but was a little sad to lose it when I restarted from the checkpoint.

The theme definitely comes through and the hoover does an incredible amount of different things! I did find it difficult to control but I'm sure it's a control scheme that can be mastered. I do wonder if I might find it easier with an analogue stick to aim rather than mouse control? It would mean not having to keep the mouse relative to the character's position to maintain the same angle.

One of the strongest contenders for matching the theme, excellent work!
