I really hate the fact that the game resets on dying, but it's super creative and interesting! i LOVE the artstyle

Submitted(+1)

Art style and presentation is superb!
Good job!

Submitted(+1)

Hehe - love the presentation, and the game mechanic is simple but really joyfully implemented.

I kinda wish you didn’t do a full restart on dying though; maybe a level select?

Developer

Thanks for your time! Agree that the difficulty is a little bit to punishing. I regreat it because there is a surprise at the end that most of you will never see it :(

Joko hau zoragarria iruditzen zait. Estilo bisuala oso burutsua da, jostagarritasuna oso dibertigarria da, eta oro har joko oso berritzailea da. Zorionak! :)

The graphics are clever, the sounds are cute, and the gameplay is simple and fun!

The visuals and sound effects are so endearing! I was wondering why the game was taking relatively long to load, and then I noticed that all of the assets were stop-motion photography. The crafty and homemade visuals fit the theme well.

I'd love to see more interaction with the environment in the game--what if you could absorb certain objects to gain their abilities (like using scissors to cut enemies)?

Developer(+1)

Thanks you very much for your time and feedback!!

Wow! You have read my mind! The theme screams interaction with object like you said with scissors, or super glue bottle, the oportunity to create traps, objects, turrets, allies...

Thanks again!

Really cool game. Looks so special. I love it soo much. It's so cute and original. Gameplay is good, but when I have to play over and over it gets too repetitive, I get that it was made for player character to have parts from previus levels, but after 8th replay it is not a welcome addition.

But overall good game and once again congrats on the visuals.

Developer

Thanks you so much for your time!! I agree with you that the gameplay is too punishing, it has many balance issues that I will fix when I can.

Thanks again! Did I told you that your game is REALLY AMAZING! :D Today I showed it to my best friend and he liked it a lot!

If someone is reading this, please check SHADOW OF CONSCIENCE!

Wow, thank you :'D. That's so nice of you.

I did't had much time today, so I checked your game only now, but I didn't regret checking it.

Developer

I can understand you! I had a free weekend but during the week I usually work to much and i dont have enough time to play others game in this amazing game jam. Yesterday I barely slep 3-4 hour, because I wanted to try more games XD

Cool game, really creative art direction.

However, the mechanics could use a bit of polishing:

  • It shouldn’t be possible to enter the level end portal without picking up your loose parts, if you happen to be on top of where it spawns when you kill the last enemy you’re screwed
  • The colliders of the dice should be the size of the base of the die rather then the size of the entire silhouette – currently you get stuck between the dice way too easily because the colliders are unintuitive
  • Shots have a tendency to fall short of your target. I’m not sure if they have a maximum range or if they drop from the air exactly where you click but it’s a bit annoying
  • I feel like the slow down for having more health makes moving around a bit too annoying as well, and I’m not sure it’s a meaningful trade-off or not. I’m not sure what to suggest as an improvement…

Overall, it’s a cool way to make art for a game, and it’s only the second game I’ve seen so far in this jam (out of a few dozen) with a similar approach and the two are completely different. So there’s definitely some freshness in the presentation.

This was super creative and I loved the silly music :) I think it might be nice to have checkpoints prior to each level instead of forcing the player to start from the beginning again.

Great job! :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks you so much for your time and and for your feedback!!

I am completely agree that the game can be really punishing. I can't wait to fix the messy gameplay issues!

Submitted(+1)

the visuals are so lovely! i've never thought about using photos as the environment to a game and the little characters feel like they're part of that photo. i love the inclusion of the controls in the first level too! all the sound effects and animations felt really polished and overall felt very satisfying and enjoyable to play. amazing work!

Developer(+1)

Wow! Thanks you so much!! I tried to make something different and I have to say that taking pictures is faster than drawing them. I usually work on pixel art, but stop-motion is easy and fast. Your game is cozier than mine but they share some similatities! 😄

Thanks again!

Funny game and funny sound effects ^^ good job ^^

Submitted(+1)

wow! This is gorgeous! The idea is a lot of fun. I feel like maybe the other guys you pick up should be a different colour – I sometimes got mixed up about which I was controlling. This definitely could use a cursor that really stands out. I lost my mouse a lot. But it's a fun idea and the fact that you managed this art over a weekend is wild! Congrats!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks you very much!

Completely agree about that issue! I planed tu put something like the hexagon from Sims over the main creature but... You know, things about game jams 😄

Thanks for your honest feedback!

Many <3 <3 <3 for the presentation of this game, really great stuff.
I really like the style and aesthetic of this game.

One thing game design wise, it was possible for me to end up as a single dude (without any others in the level). So this resulted in me being stuck in the level and not really able to do anything about it :( .

Developer

Thanks for your time!!

Yeah, the portal appears in the middle out of nowhere and it can catcht you offguard... I plan to fix that. It is really easy to change it but I was in a rush trying to complete the game.

Thanks for your feedback!!! ☺️👍

Wow! This is so cool! I love the presentation of the game. It so unique and so fun to see how things change. The sound effects are funny and the gameplay is intriguing. I also like the twist that you have more or less need to bring your ammo to the next level. I love everything about it! The way the avatar and enemy characters change in appearance depending how many creatures are "joined" to them and how much slower you get the more you have so you better think twice about how many to join to. I suppose the creatures not traveling fast is mainly so they don't fly off the screen and then you don't have "bullets" anymore. Well, whatever the reason I think is the most unique, intriguing, and  clever use of the theme. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

OMG! This is the best post from  ALL the jam!! THANKS you very very MUCH! I put many hours to make the game just fun to watch. I wated to try to make more puzzle elements put I didnt have the time... And I wanted to create a really big blob with 10 eyes, that it couldn't pass throw some narrow spaces, but the same. The range of the shots of the Avatar is limited to avoid snipers or "campers" 🤣. Again, thanks for your time and for your amazingly detailed comment.

great concept, love the fluidity! the game would be even great with some chill background music and some nice sound effects, also love the creativity with the presentation of the game! Great work!

Check out  our game too if you'd like :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and for your nice feedback! Agree I could try to use some nicer and calm music to make it more pleasant and cozy. Just I didn't have time or my teammate musician this time!

As soon as I get home I will play your game! I am having a BLAST playing games in this jam!

Submitted(+1)

Yes totally makes sense! This was our first time in a 48 hour jam as well so we couldn't do music as well :) but great work, it's really creative!

Fun game! Like everyone else, this was a truly unique artstyle and I really enjoyed it. You also did a good job on making the background visually interesting. And the sound effects are charming.

I just wish I wasn't sent back to the beginning of the game each death. Getting hit once on the later levels can mean it's all over.

Good job!

Submitted(+1)

Truly charming game.  Gameplaywise, it's simple but really effective. I just wish I could get back the eaten parts one way or another, 'cause losing even 1 or 2 can be deadly for the run.

Good job !

Developer

Thanks you for your time!! Adree that the game is quire punishing, it needs more polish. I planned to create some kind of pink spawer points but I didn't have the time. Thanks for your honest feedback!

Submitted(+1)

@ZomorroStudio one of the most polished games I have played In this jam, top-notch sound effects and art, the only thing I will criticize is that whenever we die it restarts from the first level rather than restarting from the same level we died. Overall everything is top-notch :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks you VERY VERY MUCH for your kind word!! I have tried my best! I found comical when people says that sounds are music are great when I made them in the last moments on the fly 😁 I cant wait to try your game tonight!

Submitted(+1)

Sometimes what we do in hurry gives a very great result, happens with me a lot :D

Submitted(+1)

Really cool vibes and graphics ! It's dumb and funny xD nice job :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I wanted to try somthing happy and silly made with felt and craft eyes. Thanks again!

I believe this is the best game I played so far regarding look, feel, difficulty and originality.

Your team need to put a price tag on it, I got some Little Big Planet vibes.
