Wow, that was intense. I remember watching a talk from someone saying that if you got news that the world was going to end in 24 hours it would be the most fantastic day ever, because everything  you took for granted would suddenly have value. You'd enjoy life to the fullest. So I told everyone.

And the world turned to chaos...

Second playthrough I ended up fulfilled. That was a real treat to experience.

Glad you enjoyed! I thought I’d try and use the theme to approach a concept, rather than using it literally, like only one control, or something along those lines.

Sad story, but it's written very well! Good job.

Well, great to see you went the text way of the force too! Very nice concept you got in there, curious to see what was your vision with the visuals.

PS: Got the Wasted ending. As always ;D

I love well made text adventures and this was one of them. The first way through I told no one, went to work, and watched the sunset. It was a nice, peaceful ending.
The second time I get:

  • [20:35] - Who wants to know that they are going to die? A select few, I would guess.
  • [20:35] - Thanks to your decision, the whole world lives in fear, knowing they have only one day left. Great job.
  • [20:35] - No really, well done. Give yourself a pat on the back.

I love this game and I love the opening being a massive ethical issue. 5/5 <3

First text adventure I saw in this jam. Cool one! Am I a bad person for not telling anyone the sun will explode? :D

Developer

Thanks! And it depends how you interpret it :D

Nice take on the theme. I have to admit, I wasn't sold on the idea at first but you won me over. Cool game!

This is a nice little story, I got fulfilled. It makes me think about how I would spend my last day if I had only one... Nice work on this one :)

Thank you! Thought-provoking kind of ended up being the goal on this text adventure.

I got fulfilled :) thought I think I wouldn't have been happier not knowing my character had a family... very sweet little adventure!

Developer

But surely your last day alive was fulfilling, having spent it with loved ones, no?

Submitted

Neat take on the idea :)

I alerted everybody and none was happy! Gonna have to play this again I think. ;)

Neat idea! I got the chaos and wasted endings. I just really wanted to sleep. Wish I could skip lines to get the other ending faster.

Developer

Thanks! And I noticed it felt a bit slow at times when testing, perhaps I'll make lines appear instantly if the player has already seen them, rather than slowly scrolling?

Unfortunately I can't run it because the data files haven't been uploaded

Developer

Does the exe file not run?

Submitted

when uploading you have to upload a zipped version of the entire folder that the exe is in because the exe uses the information stored in the folder with it sorry dude

Developer (1 edit)

I compiled it and its just the exe in the folder, but i'll try and compile  a folder version to add after the jam
